Grim Fandango is in 20 Double Fine Years!
We’re very pleased to be able to show you our current designs for the Grim Fandango Remastered section of 20 Double Fine Years.
**Housekeeping note: These designs are not final yet, but we feel they’re pretty close!**
Getting the LucasArts adventure games - Grim Fandango, Day of the Tentacle and Full Throttle - in the book was really important to us. They serve not only to show a different string to Double Fine’s bow, they act to highlight the pre-history of Double Fine through Tim Schafer’s creations prior to founding the studio.
Plus, they are simply fantastic games that look great and are very interesting to read, write and talk about.Looking over all of the available artwork is both a joy and fraught with very welcome tough decisions. Peter Chan’s artwork is so inventive and wonderful that it feels like a shame to have to leave any of it out, but we have to draw the line somewhere!
Getting Tim’s insight into these games, what they mean to him and where they stand in Double Fine’s catalogue has also been great and we’re happy to be able to share that with you in the final book.
We hope you enjoy these four pages that we’re showing here and we can’t wait to get the finished book in front of you so that you can see the rest.
Don’t forget that those who pre-order and get books sent to US or UK addresses qualify for free shipping and that the Legend Edition of the book is available only if you pre-order.
We'll be announcing more in regards to when the pre-order period is ending and planned print dates over the coming, so please do be on the look out for those.
You can follow us on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Discord for the latest updates!
All the best, thank you for your support and have a double fine weekend!
